Augusta's Place Recovery Housing Rules
Welcome to Augustas Place Recovery Housing! We understand that transitioning into this phase of your recovery journey can be both exciting and challenging. To ensure your safety, well-being, and success, we have established standards and guidelines outlined in this handbook. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with these expectations.
Length of Stay:
Housing is provided for up to one year, with a minimum commitment of 90 days to your personal recovery. Our primary goal is to support you in achieving long-term recovery, integrating back into the community, and becoming a responsible member of society.
Support Services:
Treatment Provider Compliance: While in Housing, you are agreeing to continue following your treatment provider’s recommendations, such as attending groups, individual sessions, life skills training, parenting classes, etc. You have the autonomy to choose the provider that best fits your needs.
Peer Support Specialists and Case Managers: Each house has Peer Support Specialists available to assist you with your recovery goals and attend weekly house meetings. Additionally, you may utilize a Case Manager for additional resources and support.
Safety Measures:
Random Curfew and House Checks: To ensure your safety and the safety of other residents, staff will conduct random curfew and house checks.
Random Drug Screens: As a resident, you agree to participate in random drug screens to support your recovery journey.
Household Supplies:
Augustas Place will provide essential items for you during your stay, including but not limited to:
Furniture
Linens

Personal hygiene items (individual responsibility)
House Standards:
Living in a shared environment can strengthen your support network and enhance accountability. To create a safe and recovery-oriented atmosphere, the following standards are in place:
Drug and Alcohol-Free Environment

Minimum of Five Mutual Aid Meetings Documented Weekly
Cleanliness Standards:
Maintaining cleanliness fosters discipline and respect for oneself and others. While Augustas Place provides furniture and linens, residents are responsible for cleaning products and personal hygiene items. Please be considerate of shared spaces and attend to all areas of the house.
Personal Responsibilities:
Your personal areas are your responsibility; common areas are shared. You are responsible for your own food, food preparation, and clean-up. Please respect all items in your room and keep your area clean at all times. Designated smoking areas are provided; please do not smoke near doorways, inside, or in the front of the house. Empty and clean ashtrays regularly.
Medication Management:
All medications (including over-the-counter) must be kept in a lockbox at all times.
Residents utilizing medication-assisted treatment agree to keep a daily medication count log.
Safety with medications is a priority; residents agree to be honest and share their medication logs with staff as requested. All medications must be reported to Housing staff prior to consumption.
Emergency Procedures:
Narcan kits are available in each house, and residents are trained on administration.
In case of emergency, residents are required to call 911 first and then notify housing staff.
Grievance Procedure:
Residents have the right to file a grievance if necessary. Grievance forms may be requested from housing staff or clinical support.
